How it got started
Dynamite Flights was started in a garage in Skagit County, WA by a guy named Dave.
Dave's wife, Sandy (a server in La Conner) said she thought the traditional beer flight paddles were boring and should be made to look classy.
Sandy gets the credit (and blame) for everything else - including the business name.
Sandy came up with the name because the rectangular shape of the flight (along with the T-shape handle) reminded her of the old dynamite plungers seen in the Looney Tunes cartoons, like Wile E. Coyote & Road Runner.
About the Wood
Our Flights are primarily made with cedar. We chose cedar because of its beautiful grain characteristics and its light weight.
We occasionally make Custom Flights from different woods, but be aware the overall weight and cost go up considerably. Feel free to
contact us for more information on our Custom Flights.
